Bleak but atmospheric

Taking a walk around Silchester this morning with my camera turned out to be well worth it

I love this location but when it is just a ten minute drive from your house, it is well worth a frequent visit. I’ve been for walks here in the snow, in the drought of 2022 and this morning when the light never really got out of bed.

It did mean however that there was not a lot of contrast, what we call “flat” light but sometimes that does actually work…
